The United States Prayer Breakfast is hosted by Members of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate with the Foundation facilitating the event.
Founded in 1953, when President Eisenhower accepted the invitation to join Members of Congress, the Breakfast remains an opportunity to pray collectively for the nation, the President of the United States, as well as other national and international leaders.
While attendance is by invitation of the Congressional hosts, programming is expected to be available for public viewing. The public is invited to pray virtually with the national leadership as the program is aired.
